Holiday Food Drive

The First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport will be hosting a “Holiday Food Drive” to benefit the Alfred Food Pantry of York County Shelter Programs, Inc. Drop off date for non-perishable items is Saturday, December 4, from 9am-1pm in the church parking lot at 141 North St., Kennebunkport.

Monetary donations will also be accepted. Checks payable to First Congregational Church with “Food Pantry” in the memo line may be mailed or dropped off on December 4th. Physical distancing and masks are encouraged. Please join church members in supporting this worthy cause. All donations will be given to the food pantry. The Alfred Food Pantry feeds more than 3,000 people each month. It is the church’s goal to help replenish the pantry shelves after Thanksgiving, a traditionally busy time of year.

The sale of Christmas decorations, (generally by donation), will also benefit the shelter. Of special interest are many hand-painted porcelain buildings from the Dickens Village Series, including: Kingford Brew House, Old Curiosity Shop, East Indies Trading Co., Blenham St. Bank, Fagin’s Hide-A-Way, Bumpstead Nye Cloaks & Canes, T. Puddlewick Spectacle Shop, Browning Cottage and others.
